Ithaca Journal covers my SHIP site

The Ithaca Journal published an article about my SHIP site and the new maps I’ve been working on. Thanks, Krisy!

Here’s a direct link to the newest map, which is mainly cool because you can click on it to see details. I’ll be integrating that into the other maps soon.

Jury convicts Ithaca woman of murder, abuse of niece, 2”

Life recovers.
But not completely.
Wounds heal into scars, sometimes beautiful scars.
But not always.

Dragon Day video up!

Everyone must check out my friend Bob Stuart’s docu-music-video on Dragon Day 2006, commissioned by the Cornell Architecture School and finally showing on their site as “The Dragon Has Its Day.” Beautiful camera work and brilliant editing. I had a small part during post in creating the subtle time shift effect around 5:10 when the ballsy loud music kicks in. Bob rocks. Go Bob!

Second time in three years! Small town, I guess.

Eleven Roses

Clara and I often get smiles from
strangers as we walk through town, with Clara riding in her
backpack, singing and swinging her feet. It was a great
feeling that she was so happy: just three days ago
she woke up from her nap with a fever of 106 degrees, and
spent a traumatic evening in the emergency room. Any parent
or child is frightened by such an experience, so I felt
extra grateful for my sunny little girl on our walk today.

Today, Clara and I were walking home from a local grocery

Big waterfall

It’s been bugging me that Clara hasn’t seen any of Ithaca’s waterfalls. (Well, she did last year, but she doesn’t remember that.) She saw this puny little stream flowing over rocks at the Buffalo Zoo, and it was very nice and otters were playing in it and all, but she kept talking about the “water falling,” and, once instructed, the waterfall. We live in Waterfall Central, so her experience needed widening.
